Easy sangria

  1. Place the chopped oranges, pears, 1 chopped lemon, and red berries in a bowl.
  2. Sprinkle with 3 tbsp caster sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon, then stir to coat.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or ideally overnight, to macerate.
  4. Fill a large jug with ice.
  5. Stir the macerated fruit mixture to ensure the sugar is dissolved, then pour into the jug.
  6. Add 750 ml light red wine and 100 ml Spanish brandy, stir well.
  7. Top up with 300 ml sparkling water and serve immediately.
