Fresh raspberry syrup

Ingredients
- Peels of 2 oranges
- 1 cup filtered water
- 10 oz frozen raspberries
- 1/2 cup sugar + 2 tbsp
Directions
- Soak orange peels in 1 cup filtered water for 3 days.
- Drain orange water into a nonreactive pot.
- Add frozen raspberries to the pot.
- Cook on medium heat for 30 minutes.
- Pour mixture through a sieve into a clean pot, pressing berries to extract juice.
- Add 1/2 cup sugar plus 2 tbsp to the strained liquid.
- Cook on medium heat for 20 minutes until reduced to about 1 cup.
- Cool for 15 minutes, then transfer to a jar and refrigerate.
