  1. Lightly whip 2 tbsp double cream until very slightly thickened, then set aside.
  2. Pour 150 ml hot freshly brewed black coffee into a mug or heatproof glass.
  3. Add 50 ml Irish whiskey and 1/2 - 1 tsp brown sugar; stir until the sugar dissolves.
  4. Gently float the whipped cream on top of the coffee mixture.
  5. Sprinkle a pinch of freshly grated nutmeg over the cream.
  6. Serve hot.
