Ingredients
- 500 g floury potatoes
- 50 g butter
- 50 g milk
- Splash of heavy cream
- Nutmeg (can be allergenic for some)
- Pepper (to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
- Green or spring onion (for topping)
Directions
- Peel the potatoes and let them soak in water for at least an hour.
- Once finished soaking, pour out the starchy water in the sink!
- Cut potatoes and boil in water with salt for about 30 minutes. If the potatoes almost fall apart when you pick at them with a fork, that means they’re done. Pour out excess water.
- Mash the potatoes with a fork or other tool.
- Add butter, milk, cream, nutmeg, pepper, and more salt to taste.
- Mix until the desired consistency is achieved.
- Top with cut up green or spring onions.
