  1. In a large stockpot, combine all the ingredients.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat, cover, and let it simmer for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Stir well to ensure the complete dissolution of the piloncillo or sugar.
  4. When ready, serve the hot punch in mugs, and if desired,(optional) add a splash of rum or brandy.
  5. Don’t forget to include some fruit in each cup.
