Perfect boiled eggs every time

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water by an inch/2 cm.
  2. Bring water to a boil on medium-high heat, uncovered.
  3. When water boils, turn off heat, leaving the pot and eggs on the burner.
  4. Immediately cover the pot with a lid.
  5. Wait 3 minutes for soft eggs, 6 minutes for medium eggs, or 10+ minutes for hard eggs.
  6. Remove eggs from warm/hot water and place under cold running water for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Peel and enjoy!
