Ingredients
- 100 grams sugar
- 200 grams water
- Fruit of choice (recommended: pineapple, strawberries)
Directions
- Pour water and sugar into a saucepan.
- Heat at medium heat until it comes up to a boil, boil for 10 minutes.
- Let it reach 150°C. (To test without a thermometer, dip a toothpick in the syrup and put it in cold water; it should turn hard.)
- Attach the fruit to toothpicks or skewers. If watery, wipe them dry with some household paper.
- Dip the fruit in the syrup and then into cold water.
- Let the candied fruit cool on parchment paper.
